Cat & Chika's Guide to Art Fair (July 27-30, 2023)

Wanna do something fun this weekend? Seattle Art Fair, one of the biggest art shows in the city, is returning this Thurs-Sun, July 27-30.

At the Fair, you can see work from over 80 artists and galleries, all in one place. It's held at Lumen Field Event Center, just a few minutes’ walk from Velouria & all the other great galleries, shops, and restaurants in Pioneer Square.

Plan your visit for Thursday for the most festive atmosphere, or Saturday/Sunday for a more relaxed experience.

Our brick-and-mortar is open 12-5pm Wed-Sun this week. We'd love to see you! We're always happy to point you towards more of our neighborhood faves while you're in the area, too.

1: Go to the Seattle Art Fair!

Get your tickets now, then go explore dozens of installations, do some A+ people-watching, and take home some new artwork.

Several of our Pioneer Square neighbors will have booths at the Fair, including J. Rinehart Gallery & ArtX Contemporary—be sure to say hello!

2: Take a break and recharge.

Walk a few blocks north to Velouria and tell us all about your favorite Art Fair booths! While you’re here, acquire a little wearable art for yourself—like this gallery-worthy dress with pockets or a pair of earrings made right here in Seattle.

When you get hungry, grab a quick snack next door at Cone & Steiner, pick a spot from our map of neighborhood faves, or ask us for for a personal recommendation. We'll send you somewhere good!

3: Explore more PSQ galleries + shows.

Check out Forest for the Trees at the RailSpur building, right across the street from Velouria. This show includes six floors filled with installations from local and visiting artists, plus live music and murals in the alley. Get your FREE tickets here.

This map shows all the studios and galleries that are in PSQ year-round!

A few of our neighborhood must-sees are the civic arts collection at ARTS at King Street Station, the stunning paintings at ArtX Contemporary, the works by contemporary Indigenous artists at Stonington Gallery, and the group show that combines artwork and flora at J. Rinehart Gallery
