Velouria Closure (May 2024)
We’ve got big news to share–we’re closing up shop at the end of May 2024.
We feel so lucky to have spent the last 12 1/2 years with such lovely and inspiring customers. It has been one of the greatest pleasures of our lives getting to know you all–to help you find outfits that make you feel good, to dress you for big and small occasions, to send gifts to your loved ones, and to share in the sweetness that you show to yourself by shopping mindfully. Thank you so much for being with us, for however long you’ve been here.
Like many other small shops, we’re now closing because of the pandemic. Each year since 2020 has been harder than the last–our neighborhood has changed completely, and no amount of scrappiness, pivoting, and individual enthusiasm/support from our customers could make up for the huge loss of in-person traffic in our neighborhood. Our lease is expiring soon. We feel sadness and grief about losing the community we built with you, and we also feel deeply relieved to finally move on.
If you’re able to make it to the shop before our last day (May 19th), we'd love to see your face and say our goodbyes! Our relationships with our customers, our designers, and our employees have been what’s kept us going all along–thank you, so much, for all your support.
